I don't understand the issue with the rep. Mine sent me advance notice.
Ordered and it immediately appeared on my profile. It is still there. I never ever call him. It is all done via email and I have never had a problem.

@New1954: When I first started to "seriously" collect RCM NCLT, the rep system worked great. I had a super rep, back then the RCM website wasn't nearly as robust, and - in my opinion - the MC program was designed to reward it's best customers (not increase sales).
What has changed since then:
- I have a new rep, and while he provides good service, the relationship isn't nearly what it used to be with my former rep.
- I feel that the MC program has evolved into a program to push the never-ending volumes of NCLT being produced by the RCM. As an example of this, one of the first products my new RCM rep attempted to push on me was a gold kilo coin (I've never, ever purchased a kilo coin, and I'm unsure of why he would have made the recommendation on our "first" discussion).
- The RCM website, despite all of it's flaws, has improved remarkably - with content, videos, and easier online ordering. In my opinion, it's easier to log in, place my order, confirm payment, and bam... things are done!
While the RCM rep system does add value for serious collectors, the Silver Dollar #1 and Silver Dollar #2 issues prove that there are also significant problems.
Idea: Why not assign MC members to a rep (as is normally the case now), but open online ordering up as well. For those who wish to order via telephone (or fax, or however else), they are able to do so. For those with crammed schedules, a simple log-in would suffice.
We have this exact system in place with my sales team... we encourage customers to place orders however they wish, and all sales commissions accrue to their Sales Rep.
Under this system, the Rep still has all of the incentive to form relationships and keep in contact with customers (phone, email, etc.)... and this relationship building is rewarded through the payment of commissions on every order, regardless of how they are placed with our firm.
Additionally, the ability to place online "digital" orders would likely:
- Lessen RCM paperwork
- Provide more accurate / up-to-the-minute inventory forecasting
- Lessen the burden placed on RCM reps (time could be allocated to relationships versus paperwork)
- Eliminate some of the abuses that are occurring with the present Rep system.
