I found an old jar of wheat pennies in my dads garage.
Been running through them grading and I found a 37 with a possible die error...
I am a COMPLETE novice and would like a little insight..

Looks like a lamination error, not an error with the die but rather with the planchette. Nice find.

Thanks pal...I have a bunch of high quality wheats..teens 20's 30's 40's and 50's...I've found a couple weird ones...43 steel with a strange 3...

Looking for value on the 1937 planchette error. can you send me anywhere?

to CCF. As to value check ebay sold values. You should post your high grade finds in the grading section. I for one like to see high grade LWC's.

Thanks John, J, and D...I'm gonna be posting all my finds on the grading sec as advised by John....Found a book of Mercury dimes too, but most are in horrible condition..

Nice lamination error ...

I think in the back of the RedBook there is a page with basic error prices.

Some common errors are just what you can get for them.
