it appears to be a medal awarded someone
it's silver plated
it should have an eagle where the hole is.
that's my humble opinion

It is an Army of Georgia Veteran's pin. The emblems on the reverse are for the 14th, 15th, 16th and 20th Army Corps.

Here's one that recently sold on ebay 332021408300

Perhaps an ancestor served in one of the Army Corps associated with Sherman's March to the Sea and later wore this pin at GAR encampments held in the years after the war ended.
