Unknown Buffalo Nickel Error 1937 P

JBNickels New Member United States 31 Posts	Posted 12/06/2016 10:03 am I have this nickel. Now please don't knock me if there is an error forum I couldn't find it! Let me know! But this to me does not look like environmental damage which is how I would describe it if I was dirty. it also to me does not look cleaned. But I would describe this as a desert floor with a bunch of dry crack running through the sand. If anybody has any idea of this if it was a very bad die or what. I would greatly appreciate it. Also maybe I am wrong and it is just junk! Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

Do you have a weight for your coin? and does it perhaps look a tad bit smaller than the average nickel? I would have to say looking at your pictures (and if I came across this one) I would say some sort of environmental damage. Perhaps acidic dirt or something similar. I have come across nickels that look very similar and this is what I believe has happened. Report this Post to the Staff
