Finally found my 1st 2017 coin in circulation, a 2017 cent from the Denver mint. I don't get a ton of change so I usually takes me a while for find the "new" coins. Also Ohio isn't close to either Philly or Denver so that likely plays a role too.

It took over four months, but I finally received my first 2017 coin in circulation, a 2017-P nickel. I received it in change from a grocery store cashier.

I got a couple quarters a little while back but I got, or found rather, my first 2017 dime today - Denver mint. It was on the floor slightly under a bottom shelf at Wal-mart.

Two Effigy Mounds quarters and a nickel, all P mint, in one set of change from a bar in the Atlanta airport. It was cool because we don't see many P's out west.

Nice score, kbbpll! Living west of the Mississippi, I don't see many new P's either.

And nice finds to the rest of you as well!

found my first 2017 last week. It was a 2017P cent, which is strange as in MN we typically get Denver mint coins.

I wonder if they are making an effort to get the special P cents out across the country.

I had to look it up after your "special" comment, jbuck. For anybody else wondering, 2017 is the first time the P mintmark appears on a cent, in honor of the 225th anniversary of the Philadelphia mint, and in 2018 supposedly the mintmark will be absent again.

I sure hope so, but still have yet to see one.
