I try to grab 1 roll of cents, nickels, dimes and quarters each week at my local CU. I haven't seen a 2017 coin yet.

Plenty of 'P' cents, but just one 'P' dime so far. Won't see any 'D's for a year or more most likely. Except for the mint sets I will buy when they release.

I got my first 2017P Jefferson nickel this week, and it turns out to be one with Trail dies on the date - excellent!. None listed yet so I contacted them to see what I needed to do. Very Cool. If anyone wants to check it out I have it in the Variety/Errors forum.

Read a post today that congress is trying to change the metal making content in the 2017 nickel , dime , quarter and I think they said the Kennedy half. How the mint is losing money.

Got a link to that article? They've been exploring new compositions for quite some time, but I'd be extremely surprised to see any changes in 2017 at this point.

The only coins the mint is losing money on are the cent and the nickel, which need to go. I'd be surprised if they were considering changing the composition of the Kennedy half since it is NIFC.
