Bertensgrad - I'm curious as to your pocket piece criteria.
Do you have a minimal silver fineness requirement? A couple of the coins in my current rotation are down to 50% (1983 Canadian Edmonton silver dollar, which is my birth year piece, and a 1942 Geo. VI Half Crown). My other current ones are my 2013
ASE (daughter's birth year), and a 1926-S
Peace dollar. I like higher fineness coins myself, however the US silver offering for 1983 consists of only the LA Olympics silver dollar; I have one that I got from a dealer's junk commemorative dollars box, and I hate the discus thrower design. Had been toting an 1883-O Morgan for some time, but I retired it since it did nothing but bring me bad luck!
I'm thinking of picking up a 2015 dated coin to commemorate my son's birth. Thinking of doing a Libertad for him. Thought also of doing a 2015 US Marshall's commemorative dollar, but I don't want to pay the premium for something that's going to ride around in my pocket and wear down.
Also - what's your preference as far as a circulating silver coin (so, hence, something older) vs. NCLT/commems vs. bullion?
