A very nicked-up XF40, the marks might even pull it down to a VF35, but it looks original as heck which is a huge positive in my eyes.

I see what looks like corrosion between the reverse rim and the left wing tip. Rim is also pretty beat up between 1 and 2 o'clock in the reverse. On the obverse I see a bunch of pock marks all over the coin, including on the face, that do not look like bag marks but more like someone was bored and stabbed the coin repeatedly with something sharp - a knife? Obverse also appears to have a scratch going along the entire lap of liberty and on to the right obverse field.
Technically 45 but with lots of problems which would keep me looking for a better example.

I normally like to sit back and wait for opinions to roll in. But based on current opinions, you guys are going to fall out of your chair when I reveal what this coin is graded. Yes: that's a hint and I agree with your current consensus net grade of XF-42.5

If it's graded higher than XF45 or lower than VF35, send it back.

I'm not trying to slam your coin because it has some things going for it but it has a couple strikes against it too. I agree the technical grade could be as high as 45 but VF35 seems like a fair overall assessment.
