Boring coins are my least favorite. Roosevelt dimes come to mind as a seriously boring series.

Are Roosevelts classics?

I never found the morgan $ liberty or eagle attractive.

Was the Barber coinage liberty a woman? Like someone said earlier I thought it was a man for the longest time. The reverse eagle is beautiful.

The head of liberty on the 20C silver is repulsive. The reverse eagle is the same as that of the Trade dollar and is stunning. Barber did great eagles and weird liberties.

I dig the deco style of the Peace $.

I don't like Peace dollars as compared to the beauty of Morgans.

Technically, no. Classic coins are generally coins that feature allegorical depictions of an idea or symbol (liberty for US coins). On the other hand, Modern coins usually depict real people


As for my least favorite classic coin, it would have to be the Barber coinage. I don't know where all this Peace dollar hate is coming from, they look much better than the Morgan IMO.

Shield nickels would be my first choice. Followed closely by Three Cent Nickels. Three Cent Silver coins don't do much for me either unless they have pretty toning.

3 cent silvers are bordering on offensive.....kind of like the Barbers even though I figured Miss Liberty HAD to be a guy....

The 20 cent piece, don't have one and never will .It's not the cost ,It's the boring design .

I'm not a fan of Barber coinage. I think Liberty looks mannish and the eagle looks dead and stuffed.

I actually like 3c Nickels and 20c pieces. They are the coins that non-collectors ask about the most when they see them. A little weird looking, but not ugly.

Barber half and quarter. Ugly eagle, ugly Liberty.
(The dime just barely stays out on the account of the reverse being anything but ugly.)

Next ugliest is probably the Seated dime Stars Obverse (1838-1860), then the Trade dollar.
