What would you grade this coin? How do you think the strike is compared to other 1934-S's? What about the eye appeal? Thanks!

It does not seem to have much luster.

Typical strike, great luster. A shot at UNC but I think it's AU58.

That's a nice looking piece. The 34-S can look pretty raggy. Hard to venture a guess on the grade though from the pics.

It was an AU58. It was up for sale and I threw in a bid. Someone else must have wanted it a little more.. sold for $1140 (BV is $1100). I've been looking for one the past two years with no luck. My set is MS anyway but I was willing to settle for a nice 58 but I wasn't going to pay over book price especially sight unseen. I guess the hunt will continue...I hope to find one someday!
