Doesn't look genuine to me.
Checked the varieties and there are none where the obverse stars are touching the denticles like they are in this coin.

 Unfortunately, it's fake. The first things that gave it away for me was Liberty's "fat" nose and "beady" eye.

Yeah, sorry to tell you, but I agree with the other members on this one. The coin looks to be a fake.
The facial features don't seem to be consistent with that of a genuine coin, and the lettering gives the overall appearance of a modern cast counterfeit.

Counterfeit. Ms. Liberty did not look that in 1838. Sorry.
It's probably some recent Chinese creation.
