1968 LMC Nice reverse toning and obverse is nicely toned with the exception of the green smoke behind the bust .

Toning is not a variety or an error. I moved this coin out of that section.

That black stuff looks like corrosion.

Maybe it looks different in hand, but from the photo it appear to have environmental damage. It's copper (pre-1982) and interesting looking. I'd probably keep it.
