Some of the rolls of Lincolns

As I find some interesting coins, I get to put them in my to buy box.

I thought these were very interesting.

Does anyone have any experience with clipped coins?

A little...The dime is about a 30% clip with date in MS, worth quite a bit, so is a 35-40% clip w/date in MS as well. Values will be higher for these because of grade and full date showing. I have no idea the worth, but they may be TPG canidates for max $. Really, really nice, haven't seen examples like that for a while. Is this for your shop, or personal, and are any for sale?

I work part time at this local coin shop .. so I can buy
coins for my collection.

I have never seen coins with this much clipped.
So I have no idea of value.

If they do have value .. might have to go into my "To be slabbed pile"

I do feel lucky going through collections like this.
There is much more than what is pictured. We were
just working on the bulk stuff today.

And they owner is going to get the good stuff from the
bank boxes and set up the next sale.

I am saving up for that.

Oh .. I did take over $800 face in change to the bank
today ... you roll hunters keep a eye out ...
Rest in Peace

Well, I found one once.

I don't think it's worth getting them slabbed.

But I did get mine slabbed. I found it when I was 14 years old, kept it in my jewelry box for decades and finally got it slabbed. It has sentimental value -- it was my first error coin find.

So, GR58...the big question is... how much of that collection is now in yours?

Seriously, that would be some fun stuff to go through.

I picked up some stuff I like, but hoping to get more when they sell the next
part of the sale.

I picked up these clipped coins.
A bunch of tokens.
A group of XF to BU silver dimes
Over 3oz. In silver of Canadian coins
$190 face in FRN one and two dollar notes.
Two 1934 $20.00 ... I might spend
Five 1966 SMS sets ... in original mint shipped box.
A small silver bar .. from Carson City mint.

There is some other stuff in my to buy box .. hard to remember
right now

I was just looking at some sold listing of clipped dimes on ebay.

Might not be worth sending them into NGC, but maybe ANACS
if they have a good special.
Rest in Peace

GR58, I picked up the two Memorials at an on-line auction for around $23 all total. The 67 double clip is considered a minor 5% w/date, the 66 is a 10%...that's more what collectors want, definite teeth marks! The Wheat is another 5% w/ date that was found in my cull jar from all my bulk orders of wheat cents bought over the past few years. I went through it a few weeks ago, glad I did, I'll be getting rid of those culls soon!

You have 2 real good ones, glad you had first dibs. Are the rest of the items for sale in an auction perhaps on-line maybe?

Looks like you got a good group of them crazyb0

I think mostly I like having examples of all the different
areas of this hobby in my collection.

A lot of collections like this get sold pretty quick.
To local customers and other dealers.

The lady I work for does list coins on ebay, if she thinks
she can get more than selling local.

I try to get something for my collection each week.
Most times we don't know what is coming in, so it is hard for me to stay focused.

Very nice! The only collection I have gone through (to buy) was when my best coin friend who is also a dealer put together a little lot so I could buy it...my smile lit up the whole room when he showed me the lot!
