Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 04/30/2017 01:18 am I'm not sure from your pix, the I C looks like Die Deterioration to the west, top of I appears to be start of a break. What year and mint. Compare to known referenced DDOs for that year. Notching is usually quite visible across all letters within the same area, doesn't pick and chose. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 04/30/2017 2:31 pm Sometimes class 2 doubled die will wear because the outside edge of the devices wear off the die first. It it was one of these, then you would look to see what the EPU looks like. I've found this to be the case on a few 1961-D cent reverses I looked at a few years back.
