Milling looks a bit worn also although that may be from the photo. I know nothing about 3 cent pieces (other than that you collect them) but what a great design. I am going to guess XF 45 although I think it has better eye appeal than a lot of coins that would draw an AU. Report this Post to the Staff

Prethen Pillar of the Community United States 3234 Posts	Posted 04/22/2008 9:40 pm I've rethought the grade on this coin after buying another (1865) 3CN recently that is an XF40-45. I think it was accurately graded by the dealer as a VF30 although it could go VF35. There's a bit too much wear on the leaves and hair for the XF grade in my opinion.
