My status now says out for delivery. It still wont make it to me until late afternoon though. That is fine. I just like knowing it is close.

Congratulations jbuck! I've had my sets for a few days now and was definitely pleased with the look of these coins. I especially like the reverse on the penny. One of the sets got smashed in transit and the case was crushed, but luckily I ordered an extra one as a last minute add-on.

I received mine this morning, and all I can say is wow! They're beautiful coins, especially the ATB Quarters and the JFK half. The latter has the most pronounced matte appearance and it looks really nice on a bigger coin. I'm tempted to order a second set for my new ATB albums because I will never crack this one... I can attest that good things come to those who wait with these sets. Good to hear that yours is almost home jbuck!

Well I had to sign for a big box from the mint today. Yep, it had the the latest P Puck, Burnished Eagle, mint sets and the American Liberty medal that I finally decided to pick up, but no enhanced set. For some reason it didn't ship with the rest of it, so now I'm still waiting on 2 enhanced sets, one supposedly tomorrow but the one that should have came with the bigger order didn't even go out yet. I'm guessing I will see that one next week but I won't care so much once I get the other tomorrow hopefully.

We are close to a sell-out: 217,514 sold as of Aug06
Of course, it is reasonable to assume that there were many returns which need to be processed by the US Mint. The question is, will returned sets being sold again? Probably yes...

Got mine, really like them. Ordered another one for my soon to be Grandson who should be arriving around middle of September. Already got him the Birth Set. I'll hook him on the coin collecting when he's about a week old... LOL

I've already sent back two of my sets that has spots on the Kennedy obverse. If they resell as-is, that would be pretty stinky.

I have one set on it's way. The big question at this point is, do I buy two more sets?
This is the third lowest Mintage for a NIFC non proof small cent in the history of the US Mint. The others are the 1856 flying eagle (about 2,000) and the 1964 SMS (about 50) (I hope I didn't miss any). With these two coins out of the mix then the 1811 large cent is the next lowest non proof as far as I can tell.
I guess the big question is; will it bother future collectors that one of the rarest Lincoln cents is made from about the lowest of base metals or will it become the must have key coin of the Lincoln Sheild Cent series? I believe this will be a short lived series that won't be produced after 2025 if it even makes it that far.
C'mon magic eight ball, don't fail me now!
What am I saying, I think I will buy three more sets so each of my grandchildren will have one.
