My experiment is complete. I placed two orders 1 minute apart on day one. One was shipped UPS ground and the other "smart"post.
UPS arrived 4 days before the "Smart"post. Kinda as expected....

It's nice that these are starting to get into the hands of collectors. It really is a good-looking set. I said it somewhere else but I wish the set had included *any* other year's ATB designs than 2017's. Oh well. Edited by CelticKnot

Mine moved from Friday to end of day on Monday. Seems like "smart post" is literally driving from East coast to west coast and then shooting it back up to the Northeast. I could have driven to MS and picked it up quicker than smart post delivers to New England

Arrived at the local PO this morning, USPS now saying it'll be delivered today.

My sets arrived. All coins look great. No spots or detracting marks.
I also got a liberty medal. Am amazed at how much packing is used. I expected a box like a silver eagle.

I was the first one in this thread to announce my order (back on page 8), and it just arrived. Looks great, but since I only really want the dollar for my album, I now have to decide if I should still break up the set and sell the others. With the chatter in another thread, wondering if they would release the dollar in another C&C set this year, I'd risk breaking up the set for nothing (other than making some other people happy, which would be fine with me).

You have nothing to lose for waiting, but time. Keep it intact until you are sure the C&C set is not issued with this dollar.

Sales figures as of Aug 6 indicates that the set is 96.7% sold. It seems that this set will sell out at some point.

Slewed results. It DID sell out in less than 10 minutes but, as with other sold out sets, more became available after returns were tallied. The Congrats and 2016 Liberty medal had availability daily for a short time after the reported sellout...

Note: there have been reports of nicks/rim dings at 3 and 9 o'clock on the cent
They are NOT defects but a reflection from the plastic holder.
