I *think* I see what you're talking about, Foxwoods. It's embossed/raised numbers? On my sets each individual lens has a different number.
Quarters in one set are "80" while the other lens is "51".
Not sure I could get a clear photo if I tried, but the characters are about 1/8" high.

After further review....
I took a set apart and the insert holding the coins has an embossed impression in it. The insert appears to be made of thin plastic and is not cardboard.
Since the holes in the plastic holder are die cut most likely the small embossed numbers is the reference number for the die set up used for that set of coins. One die set for the quarters and the other die set for the insert for the other five coins.
That's my latest guess.

Yeah, one of my NA dollars has some issues as well. Are you going to send it back?

Checked a few sets and all have different numbers on the plastic. I even have one with the number "1" on it. Maybe a special label is in order " From the #1 Plastic Set" ...also I checked a 2017 Silver Proof Set and it has the same numbers on the plastic

My sets are gorgeous perfection. I can see NO flaws in any of the 20 coins, even under magnification. BEAUTIFUL. I am really surprised how nice the quarters look. They looked very mushy and washed out in various online photos. Nope. They are sharp with very crisp details. I would like to order a couple more sets because I like them so much, but I don't really need them. Thinking.....

The coins look much better than I expected. I am not happy about the packaging. I would have preferred if they had "mint set" packaging and not "proof set" packaging, since they are not proof coins. I love consistency. To have the mint sets have similar packaging year after year in the Tupperware and then this one different sized package, throws me off. But then again, the 1999 proof SBA throws me off, as does the 76 set and all the variations that are different. Minor complaint about beautiful coins!

Quote: Not the best quality on this $1 Ouch. Quote: I am really surprised how nice the quarters look. They looked very mushy and washed out in various online photos. They do look way better in person, which is why I have not even attempted to photograph mine. Quote: I am not happy about the packaging. Besides, they will end up in an album eventually anyway.

My first set arrived today. I have the following observations. Condition: 99.9999999.......% perfect, I don't see any defects at all. Packaging: I like it, I think it makes the set classier. Enhancement: At first I thought this would appear gimmicky and the early photos I saw seemed to support this. In hand the enhancement looks great, I am very pleased with it. I was also worried that this would appear to be more like a reverse proof like the 2015 NA dollar. IMHO this is not the case with the exception of the Ozark Riverways reverse. Favorite Quarter: George Rogers Clark. I don't know what it is but this design really catches my eye. Favorite Coin: Overall the clear winner IMO is the Kennedy half. My predication of what our grandchildren will consider to be the most valuable coin from this set is split between the Kennedy half and the Lincoln Cent. In my lifetime I don't think this set or any of the particular coins will have any great value. I figure the set price will settle in somewhere between $40 and $60.

I also got mine this week, two sets. One from work (coin shop) and one from the mint. I am very happy with the sets, I think they are good additions to my collection. I also think the Kennedy half dollar is the better coin in the set. If I knew one would grade a SP 70 ... I think I would crack it out and submit.

I only bought the Jefferson nickel online and it has some very light brownish discoloration on the obverse. At least there are not scratches. Not thrilled with it but had to have one for the set. This arrived today.
