IMO this would be a good set to buy, if available, with the free shipping being offered.

I'm shocked it went currently unavailable (again) so soon.
I didn't have power or internet for the last 30 hours so this was a decent surprise this AM

Well if you want to get one they are still cheap. Two sold yesterday for 8 cents and 40 cents over Mint price (with free shipping)

It will be interesting to see what this set does in the future. Such a good looking set, such a low mintage and yet taking so long to sell out.
Admittedly I am confused as to the ups and downs of this set. I am just glad I got these coins b/c when the bulk are eventually in collections, instead of dealers hands, I cannot see the limited number of these as being easy to obtain in order to fill some holes.
Is it b/c they are not silver they have been on this roller coaster ride?

Quote: Maybe. I think silver would have sold out faster. It's the finished product far more than the metal. Look at some past EU coins like the sac dollars or even the ASE, the contrast was prominent creating very nice contrasts. Now look at say the Kennedy half in this set they did a few letters and called it a day. The excitement for the product was there, until people saw it.Reports weren't positive from Denver and it didn't do well there. Nothing wrong with people liking it and getting it, but the downward spiral was just simply to many people were disappointed by it and decided to pass.

First, to be clear, I said silver would have sold out faster, but not necessarily immediately. Second, I do agree with you. I mentioned in the Liberty Medal thread that I really like EU piece in the four medal set. If they had applied the same effort to the coins in this set, it would have turned more heads and pulled in more buyers.
