Very strange approach indeed Pushing 5 extra coins when most only desire coin 1 and 7

Since we know the Voyageur coin is being sold as a single with a max of 1500 including subs, the penny mintage can not be close to 1500 by logic, only available by subs no singles

That's truth, but why sell less, if they can sell more? To push up the subs sales? The sub amount already set 'on the Voyageur level'. To please the people who already got the sub? That's would be nice, but the Mint care about profits and not current customers satisfactions.

Will be interesting to see what the COA for the penny says...xxxx/1500 or xxxx/?. Guess we have a whole year to wait to find out.

Lets assume that 500 Voyageur singles are allocated, leaving 1000 for subscriptions only. Thus, there can only be at most 1000 Pennies that can be minted. Seeing as the demand for the single Penny could be high, are they really willing to forego almost $280,000 (500 x $560) in potential revenue? That's a lot of pretty pennies to leave on the table.

For those who saw last night's late show of the Coin Show, Alfriedo let out that the penny will have a lower than 1500, whatever the number of subs available.

Looking at the pictures on the other forum, I understand, why people loaded as many as possible the Voyageur coin.

Nice guess, but I think, the businesman of his level and the person who commissions the coins will be interested, for example in #1 of the 5oz coin, or something more significant than regular series...
ADDED: Thought about something: We don't know, what the commissioneer gets. May be for such vollume he gets additional perks, like PrivyMark (as initials) on one coin, etc.

Should I wait for original OP, or just bring the quote from other forum?
The number '77' appeared! And the coin extremely nice in hand (all of us should order at least one).
Well, will wait for the member, who posted description very artistically way.

The coin I received from Canada Post seems to have some plating issues. There is some missing rose-gold at the bottom of the Queen's hair, and along her right shoulder (on the same side as the SB initials). As the coin is selling at a premium now, should I return the coin and pay a higher price for a potentially unflawed coin (I really don't know what I would receive elsewhere). Or is this minor and have a insignificant impact on its value? Thanks for the inputs. Otherwise, I like that the reverse has the two travellers in the canoe with a polished finish compared to the frosted finish of the other rose-gold elements. A very nice contrast.

These are not really errors but crappy production issues.
