CDN still has 126pcs for its VIP.

Sad. Selling quite slow.

Even worse than expected.

Remember when pre-sales on ebay for a coin like this was listed far above issue price?

ebay prices for this coin start at $211.

So 90% of the mintage is exclusive to masters club members while the other 10% is spread out through dealers. Since its pretty much sold out at the RCM, there is only 400 left to go around elsewhere.

I not sure, why and what for people dropped the price like this.
Better just return the coin to RCM.
Or they try to keep the MC status by reselling coins even close to issue?

That's my guess.

I do not think this 2oz MC coin will show up on TSC.

But mintage 4000 pcs is way too many for flippers and collectors.

I bought first MC coin on ebay with premium

bought second coin from RCM's website and glad it maintains its value on secondary market

Decided to skip third coin due to high mintage.

Despite higher mintage, limited to only MC members or VIP types, and so many opting to take a pass on this one, it still sold out rather quickly, right?
Why would it not...it's a beautifully designed, highly symbolic themed coin. A true classic.
Emmanuel Hahn now seen twice in this series, hit it out of the park with the voyageur design which was so well thought out and more detailed but kept it very simple with his caribou, bluenose and this Canadian Parliament dollar commemorative.
The minimalist approach of the latter three designs held up incredibly well over the years...
Hahn, Kruger-Gray and then Colville in '67 - deserve very high praise for their ability to get it so right - repeatedly.
Is there anybody even remotely comparable today to these three?
Love this series...!!

For this coin, CC&C got a large allocation, probably 50%. No wonder the mint "sold out" this coin. It's a commissioned coin, Masters Club style.

I don't think people should take this as a positive.

If the second coin in the series has a much smaller mintage barely held value why would this one with increased mintage perform better, there is not a chance. If there was a crazy rush, CCC would be sold out now with no limits, If I remember right CCC offered the first coin free to certain VIP, also doubt this coin is commissioned. Also remember a rather large reseller of RCM coins in the gta offering a decent premium instantly after MC release for the first and second units, you don't see any of those offers on this one. I wish I'm wrong on this unit and it will give the collecting community a much needed buzz again, we surely need one.

It might will loose in value, Justsilver, but I would agree here with Electrum - the coin is great, so do not leave a "hole" in this nice series

(i wouldn't say it to collector who doesn't have the first one)

There might not be many VIP members interested on this coin. If there are many left over when/if released to the general public, it should do a lot better. Who knows, perhaps it will find it's way to TSC. Wouldn't that be a kick in the kahoonies. Will piss many Master club peeps, Including myself if Bromberg sells it to the GP.

When you increase the mintage to this point, this coin is like a general release no matter how nice it is. I believe CCC only was allocated 20 or so of the first coin and that is the reason for them giving them free to their best customers at the time. Almost sure this coin will sell out but in a few months be heavily discounted, there is just no buzz.

I think the number of years the average MasterClub member retains their status grows shorter and shorter over time. The first in the series, the Voyageur was released in 2015. RCM customers who attained MC status in 2016 or 2017 and in years going forward are not likely to scramble to buy prior issues of the series on the secondary market simply because it does not benefit their current MC status.

Thats why I think this series was destined to fizzle out. It's also an example of an expensive learning experience for any collectors who bought for the sake of maintaining their MC status, to ensure they were given the early opportunity to purchase future Renewed SDs prior to sellout.

MC status maintained solely for early access to one specific annual coin release - seems a stretch no?
