MC status maintained solely for early access to one specific annual coin release - seems a stretch no?
Flash back to 2015 and early 2016 - I'm quite sure my memory isn't deceiving me but if it is, it doesn't really matter. One factor that has since changed is XforX, which counted toward MC status, is no longer available.

It's almost meaningless to be a MC member the last two years, in my case only have purchased one coin in last two years or so but the rep still sends me alerts, have had some nice talks regarding the way the RCM is producing NCLT, although he disagree with the process, he argues it's still successful to the RCM. Somehow only went from Platinum Plus to Platinum status, but who cares I or any one can buy almost everything at much better price latter.

@wilsonwu89 Wow, I would of never believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes. This is a real kick in the B sack especially when you spend so much money to get special coins and now you can buy it at Walmart. I am done with the RCM.

I am letting my MC membership lapse over the next couple of years. What is the point of higher tiers when you could get so called "exclusive" coins anywhere. So what does MC membership get you? Nothing you could not get elsewhere.

This can't be good for dealers- is Walmart now officially a RCM dealer?

That's crazy. I'm feeling so ripped off. A supposed EXCLUSIVE Masters Club coin at Walmart of all places. The least they could have done was remove the MC logo from the box. Now I want the RCM to explain what "EXCLUSIVE Masters Club" means to them. I had to have another look at the MC Terms and Conditions. Basically, RCM can do whatever, whenever they want with the MC program. "No Warranties or Representations. The RCM makes no warranties, conditions or representations, either expressed or implied, including with respect to merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to the MC Program, membership in the MC Program, or any benefits or rewards related to the MC Program." From the RCM MC FAQ "We reserve the right to make future changes to the Masters Club program at any time and for any reason without prior notice to Masters Club members." "WHAT ARE MASTERS CLUB EXCLUSIVE COINS? "Each Program Year the RCM will produce four low mintage special Masters Club program coins. With each release, GOLD level members and higher will get an exclusive 45-day period in which to purchase these coins. If any coins remain unsold at the end of the 43-day period, they will be offered to SILVER Masters Club members for a 2-day period. 90% of the mintage for each coin will be reserved for Masters Club members during these exclusive access periods. There is a purchase limit of one coin per Masters Club account." It hasn't been 45 day yet, has it? So Silver MC can't buy this coin from RCM, but Walmart is there for you. Again, I'm feeling SO RIPPED OFF.

It does seem a bit like a betrayal when a MC member is not able to purchase the coin off the RCM web site (it's listed as "Awaiting Stock") but anyone can buy the "exclusive" coin from a major retailer. As I've said previously, the new RCM views its NCLT merely as products to market and sell to the masses vs. coins for collectors. It's a shame!

This is the kind of BS that happens when RCM hires an outside marketing company to promote their products. Shame on them. I will be cutting down on buying from RCM. This was the last straw selling to Walmart Master Club Exclusives? What a joke!!

The "bubble" haven't been exploded yet, but gave a small leak in the least expected place. I wouldn't surprise, if Wallmart will distribute (after the Sears) some inexpensive RCM gift coin sets. But 5oz coin?! Or MC special secret release coin?! RCM is guilty here with huge overproduction Now I even more happy with 1 or 2 coins per year...

If the bank can't tell the difference of fake RCM product, I don't believe someone working at Walmart can the difference either. What if someone received a fake gold or silver coin when shopping at Walmart, or trying to swap and return a fake coin as genuine? Maybe I am being too paranoid, but just don't feel safe buying gold and silver coin from Walmart..

Non-MC members can't even view the product page on the mint.ca but Wal-mart shoppers can? What is the Mint doing? This is it. The end is nigh. BTW, Wally World has at least 39 coins on the their website ranging from gift sets to the Superman Shield to a $5K platinum set. Clearly, they are getting into dealing in a significant way. Can't wait for the Roll Back pricing to start. SMH
