Plucked this out of a dealer's "bargain" bin the other day. Obviously not a primo specimen, but since I understand it to be Australia's initial issue in this denomination, I was happy to pick it up for less than 10¢.

Ok Coin, above average circulated condition but they have little value unfortunately,probably$2-$5 on ebay so good find at -10c.
I have 2011 half somewhere that's close to Unc.,tried to sell it(with a bunch of other top grade Coins) in the 1990's,Dealer offered me A$5 saying he will sell it for $10(Bull!),i was expecting around A$50 so I still have it.

Hi R....the 1911 was a Penny, not a half although I did have some aUNC 1911 halves back then but they are long gone to a sympathetic Dealer.Back then the only way to sell Coins were Dealers or Classifieds in the Age,SMH,Trading Post etc.
This is the Coin I was offered $5 for,it was a $50+ Coin even in those days. Its for sale if your interested for a fair price.Great strike and colour, needs slabbing.
