Thanks, T-BOP Quote: Unusual to find that far along in circulated state too! Congrats on completing a whole set from searching rolls and change and back! A true blue collector! Given what else I found in the box (a total of 24 pre-60s), I'm thinking it may have been part of someone's coin collection As I found a nice AU 1958, and Ch BU 1947, 1949-D, and 1968-D coins, along with a 1948-S. Interestingly, there were no 2009 dated coins in the batch, nor any War Nickels or Buffalos. I'm not at all complaining though!

That 49 D is nothing to sneeze at either. Did you check your mintmark closely on that?

Welcome to the club ... another CRH member who has achieved this task requiring true patience and perseverance. There are a few of us who have checked in with complete Jefferson CRH sets ... I've lost track of exactly who but welcome you indeed to a very small circle. Assume you meant 1938 to date ... but perhaps you have a herd of CRH Buffalo as well. I'm thrilled for you ... same as I was when I came across my initial 1950-D. Sincere congratulations. David

Congrats! It is one of the 3 I have yet to trip over while nickel roll searching. (38-s, 39-d and 50-d)

Nice find! Super rare. Though for me the 38s was what completed my set. Found 2 x 50d in those 280 to 300 boxes.

David Thanks, nickelsearcher! Lots of patience and perseverance. And in fact, I did mean a complete set going back to 1934. I found the 1938-D Buffalo recently to complete that section.

I'm on the Left coast though, so that helps me. Quote: Congrats! It is one of the 3 I have yet to trip over while nickel roll searching. (38-s, 39-d and 50-d) Thanks, afcop13! And just keep searching... that's how you do it! Quote: Congrats! Not an easy task Thanks, bandsdean! Indeed it is not easy! Quote: . Love finding these in the 'wild'! Great job!
Thanks, SilverEagle! That was the goal all along - finish up that set. I knew it would be hard to find, but didn't think it would be this hard. I've found 3 or more of everything else in this 20 month adventure.

Quote: That 49 D is nothing to sneeze at either. Did you check your mintmark closely on that? It's a BEAUTIFUL coin, TNG. FIVE full steps, actually! So it is actually more valuable than the 1950-D. It doesn't appear to be a D over S though.
