I really need to re-image my Hadrian denarius, still in its place in my collection after these newcomers. Anyway, I really liked the artwork on these coins; Hadrian was truly a patron of the fine arts, and understood the appeal of hiring the really good celatores! HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS, laureate head right, drapery on far shoulder COS III, Victory standing right, right hand on head & holding palm. HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P, bare head right VICTORIA AVG, Victory/Nemesis advancing right, drawing out neck of robe, and pointing downward with branch. RIC 282  I really like the detailing on the wings, and the added touch of drawing the drapery from the chest. Despite the legend, many believe this to be Nemesis or Pax-Nemesis, the winged goddess of judgement and inescapable retribution. |

HADRIANVS (AVG COS III PP), bare head right PROVIDENTIA AVG, Providence standing left, holding baton over a globe and sceptre. RIC 261  Nice deep relief portrait on this one, and interesting toninf... I wonder if the reverse was exposed to water or directly to dirt? |

Well Steve, its hard to know where to start  Your 2017 has to have been the most varied out of all of us, I don't think there is a corner of the globe you have not plundered along the way  Lots of very nice additions, maybe a top 20  |
