I am fairly sure this is pre-1812. I can not really tell much more.

It's a draped bust large cent, made between 1796 and 1807. If you could post a pic / some pics of the other side, that might help in further attribution.

Edit: on further inspection, it appears to be 180-. I can't make out the last digit. (I might just be seing things, a picture with better light may help as well)

Better pics please. Yours are taken at an angle, so it makes it hard to read the date. It is a Draped Bust Cent, but that's about all I can tell from the pics.

1802 is the most common followed closely by 1803 so odds are good it's one of the two.
