Found this coin mix with a roll of quarters today,i looked on ebay some have this coin and they say it's rare is that right?

I may be able to take my pension with this one

Yes, it's quite rare...in perhaps Greenland.

They don't even use them anymore there. At a bank in Mexico you can exchange it for 1/1000th of its face value. Just think if you had a 1 centavo the value. It is a pretty coin. I have always loved their coins, except for the current ones....very boring.

LP, I agree on that one--the styling of the portrait is very accurately inspired by pre-Columbian artwork. The obverse and reverse designs also work well together.

Thank you for the reply guy's I gess I wont get richer with this one ,these day I'm searching for the 1969 Canadian dime with the large date,and also rescanning my banknotes collection still have a couples more day to work on that.

I believe the figure is Cuauhtemoc, the Aztec leader.
