Onwards indeed! I'm glad to see this posted here. Tomorrow we can drop back to the 390s and I'm pretty sure I'll have something to post.

Finally progressing! Here's my own three-emperor AE4, of Honorius...   ...I apologize for the horrible photos. I had a full set (Arcadius/Honorius/Theodosius) but AFAIK my only photos of the other two are on a tiny pic with multiple other coins; if I made any other pics of those I don't know where they are. |

Another Honorius 395 - 401 C.E. Honorius AE3. DN HONORI-VS PF AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right / VIRTVS-EXERCITI, emperor standing left, head right, holding spear and resting left hand on shield. Victory, standing beside him crowns him with a wreath which she holds in her right hand. Mintmark ANT(x). RIC X 72; Sear 21031.   The Ox moves slowly, but the Earth is patient.

GLORIA REI-PVBLICE; campgate with two turrets, Staurogram (Tau-Rho) between them; B in left field. In ex. TES RIC IX Thessalonica 59b Dumbarton Oaks dates this issue to A.D. 385 because of the consular dress. |
