Thanks for the correction Albert--I'm not very knowledgable about these.

Here is my Antoninianis of Valerinus that dates to 253 to 260 AD. I have it attributed as Vagi #2277. The obv inscription is "IMP C P LIC VALERIANVS AVG" while the rev inscription is "PIETAS AVGG" (The piety of the Augusti).

What a great batch of coins from the 240s!

Here is my Antonianus from Trajan Decius that dates to between 249 and 251 AD. The obv inscription is "IMP C M Q TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG" and the rev inscription is "DACIA" and shows Salus feeding a serpent at an altar. The attribution is Vagi #2159.

Here is my Antoninianus of Gordianus that dates to between 238 to 244 AD. The obv inscription is "IMP GORDIANVS PIVS III AVG" and the rev inscription is "VIRTVTI AVGVSTI" and features Hercules with his club. The attribution is Vagi #2058. This coin is in pretty rough shape, but the price was right for me back in 2000 when I picked it up for $1.50.

I have completely lost the decade we are in
Should we be posting 30's or 40's now ?
I'm waiting for the 2teens for my chance to spam a little.

I think we can move to the 230s, but I wasn't sure if other members were done with the 240s yet.

It was supposed to be one coin per post and no catch ups if you missed decades (I resisted the urge myself) but great lot of coins there Finn.

Like I said near the start if midnight has passed and nobody has posted the new decade then feel free to carry on with yesterdays, but once we move onto the next decade lets not go backwards... and no need to get permission to move on either, Spence had already posted a coin qualifying for 230's so if you have any more nows your chance.
