This makes me think that although the blank would have been mass produced, the token was probably designed for use in a situation where only one or just a very few of this exact design were needed. An example would be a factory or mine tally token. With all the trade tokens I have the writing/numbering was stamped in as part of the design for bulk production. I could well be wrong though and would be interested to hear a more-informed opinion. Report this Post to the Staff

However, there is no indication of a value which is another reason why I suspect it is more likely to be some kind of ID tally, rather than for trade. Report this Post to the Staff
