Mostly it is deterioration of one form or another, Either those are chips or a damaged detail, hard to say. The edge is flaking away from metal stresses at the lip of the field edge. One may contend it is a die crack/cud forming, but it isn't very deep, just surface effect.

It looks like a Die Deterioration issue.
