Came across this penny I assume it is a die clash? Ive looked up other die clashes and they seem very faint and not as extreme as this one.

Is this something worth getting graded or simply put in a plastic case thingy?

A die clash is when parts of the obverse appear on the reverse and vice versa. But I would keep it. It's only worth 1 cent but I do like it.

What is the first clue?

The highest points on the coin (columns and building) made an incuse marks on the coin. (sunk into the coin) Also the EPU is mirrored. (Also incuse on the coin) If it is raised and should be lowered on the coin and it is just the opposite, then it was transferred to the coin from another coin.

Also you can see the rim left an incuse mark also. (incuse. Raised on the coin)
