I also received an email with an advanced notice of new MC Exclusive coin. I'm reading that it is a different coin that your stating. Hints: A Royal Canadian Mint first incuse striking! 99.99% pure silver 1-ounce Iconic design First version released in 1988 All will be revealed on February 27! Sounds like a 1 ounce Maple Leaf coin to me. Unless there is another email that I'm suppose to get. I guess we will know tomorrow.

Will wait 3 - 5 years. Pick up at an auction of some sort or another for 40% retail. Patience is key in getting value out of RCM offerings. Paying full retail right off the bat is a sure way to loose value.

@jimper, I got that email too but that is under a MC Newsletter. The SML incuse coin is NOT a MC Exclusive coin. it is availlable to everyone.
The gold plated 50 cents is the second in the series of MC exclusive 50 cents started last year.

@ MoneyPenney Thanks for the clarification MoneyPenney. Wonder why I didn't get notified on the MC Exclusive coin as I'm a Master club prestige member. Typical of RCM.

I'm going to pass on this. I have all the other MC "exclusive" coins but decided in 2018 to just say no to making any purchases from the RCM. I am just going to make note of what coins I would like and at some point in the future look to collect them. If there happen to be coins that go up in value, it should still be made up for by getting the others at more of a bargain.

Received the same email. Do not own any of the MC exclusive coins and not really interested in this one.
Fail to understand what is being commemorated here. Nice NCLT coin but what is so special about the 75th anniversary of the 1943 50 cent piece? Any ideas?
Like Canuck1us, I'm only adding affordable coins that I want to collect now and will wait for other items to drop significantly in price, purchasing them if they are still appealing and relevant.
Speaking of which, Jimper eluded to the 1oz reverse proof of the double incuse Maple Leaf which will cost over 3x that of the bullion coin.
Nice but no thanks! Saw it in the catalogue at the Post Office today. Learned my lesson with the 'replica' bullion items a few years back.

Kind of every month for the last 2 years or so, ho hum, but somebody still purchases most of the issues, interesting to see the 2017 RCM financials.

Proof Nut Yes it's a nice NCLT. If you don't have any coat of arms - this would make a nice addition. And pretty good packaging should that matter to you. These not so "exclusives" exclusives have been above average NCLTs coming from RCM of late as it relates to price packaging vintage classic designs and mintage imo....but....still on the fence on this one.
