Every year, I go by the nearby bank and we run a population of pennies in circulation and compare it to actial numbers. It makes for a really good lesson about skewdness and why the population is nothing like the actual numbers...but I ramble. Today, we tallied 3200 pennies (64 rolls), and I have them pull out years with errors. Here's two cracked dies and a 1942 Canadian cent. Report this Post to the Staff

I just wish I had data on die breaks and other variations. I also bring history into the class. Report this Post to the Staff
