I was going through some new coins recently and found this 2017 coin. It looks like a misprint? Is it possible?

The photo is a side by side of another 2017 D Penny and the one I think is misprint.

Left coin is missing some of the copper cladding, appears to have been sanded/filed off. PMD.

I pulled one from my washer stuck between the impeller and the tub and it looked just like yours.

Money laundering jokes aside...

Your coin is damaged. But, from time to time, the mint lets some error coins escape into the wild and it never hurts to ask.

I found one in my washer too that had simal damage. Must have been spun around to give it that center donut as was wedged underneath. and held there by the weight of the clothes then the straight gashes as it was released when the machine went into spin mode lightening the load as the G-force pulled outwards.
