I've found an online seller who sells loads of OBW penny rolls for fairly fair prices. I was planning on just getting a roll of 1960-D because that year has the most RPM's out of any, but I now want a second opinion: are there any other dates that may be worth trying?
I'm not sure about errors as I don't collect them ,but here are some dates and mints that are sort after : 1971-P, 1983-D, 1984-D, 1986-P&D ,1987-D,1988-D just to name a few .
Question: Does the seller sell variety coins? If so, they maybe dud rolls that he found nothing in. I bought 65 rolls of 1960-D cents from a seller and I opened about 5-10 rolls of them. Only one roll had one RPM. So I'm still sitting on the rest of them. From the same purchase, I got the same number of rolls of 1959-D and found a whole lot of one RPM in them. So buy a few and see what you get. Try different dates and such. If they are all from the same run, one roll will tell you what you can expect from them. Duds or winners, Go back for the winners and don't get stuck with a lot of duds.
