did the best I could with the images. I just bought a usb microscope and it seems like it may not be good enough. hopefully someone will be able to see what I'm looking at. it looks to have spikes coming down off of the hair as well as some spikes coming in through the date and "IN GOD". or are these just from a late stage die? thanks!

Doesn't look like a clash.
Are the "spikes" raised or incuse?

I'm thinking it's Feeder Finger scrapes from Feeder Fingers. Here's a link to Feeder Fingers scrapes/damage. Die scrapes is the actual name for this type of error. http://www.error-ref.com/die-scrapes/

Also figure in die wear making die flow lines. The angles are wrong for Feeder Finger Damage. The two angles would make an 'X'.
