What you all think? I saw the thickness of the letters and the doubling maybe shelf like? I just can't decide. Thanks!

What I can see is VLDS coin that was struck. The second image is a double exposure. (altered) I see no evidence of a doubled die.

Not a Doubled Die. This was caused by a very worn out die (Very Late Die State). What you are seeing is severe Die Deterioration from severe die wear. You can see the heavy die flow lines from overuse. If you see any doubling, then it's Die Deterioration Doubling. Your coin is only worth face value, but I think you should keep this anyway since it's a great example of severe Die Deterioration. You can look back at this coin for reference. Still cool though.
