Thanks, Cassidy, for details. Now I am very curious: would you buy every item with the picture of UFO (as it represented to us from the 40's ) will appear? I believe, there are several way to depict an UFO item on the coin, and RCM choose the worse, imo. Painted image, "egg shaped" form, GITD all together... For the coin + UFO theme, I would prefer to have at least some High Relief coin with details, or lets say "coin + <item>" set. And not RCM coin with poster from the "The Flying Saucer" (1950) movie

@silveroid....I definitely would not buy every coin item with a picture of a ufo ..tho many would. I think the RCM chose the most economical way to produce this coin using an in stock egg shaped die. This makes sense to me and I rather think it works to show the image and give perspective in the design. I would like to see it in gold. I dont think this is a 1950 poster image but a realistic depiction of the 1967 event although the guy got burnt at a closer distance from the exhaust vents shown in the image. I dont think it was a long distance ray as depicted in the image..That is a more Travis Walton image which was a USA event. But again... the long distance ray works well in the egg shaped format....Im sure that following up on this coin will be another Canada ufo event coin..There are a few notable events.....you have to know that Canadas Paul Hellyer who was the Canadian defense minister has already come out with ufo disclosure and says that govt has known about alien visitation for decades...I hope the RCM dont do it to death like Superman...ha ha

I would just like to confirm for everyone that the coin has in fact been released. I visited a Canada Post location today that had three in stock but sold out immediately after the CBC news release of the coin. I found another location with a single coin left that I will be picking up after work. I will post a picture this evening!

@UFOcoin I reached out to West Edmonton Coin and Stamp - they said they are not sure when they will be getting stock, or how many.

Here you go! Got them in-store from Canada Post today in Toronto. The woman at the counter said Canada Post locations in other provinces were calling all day in an attempt to get the coin.

jarms049, good going on getting 2 coins in hand! Still not crazy about the color or the shape, but am impressed with the glow-in-the-dark feature. Could you take a snapshot of both coins with the glow-in-the-dark effect? Thanks in advance!

Sure, here you go! The quality isn't the best. I wasn't thrilled with the pictures of the coin online but in person it is pretty fantastic. The glow-in-the-dark feature is great!!

Thank you, Jarms, for nice in-hand pictures.
The GITD looks good.
Two such coins equals making $1000 in 3 clicks. Congrats!
I also made some walk in my area of the Toronto. But CPs said that they didn't get allocation, and they not really ordering coins resent period.
So, as the price is going up, looks like, this coin will be known as "Pysanka" / "Voyageour" killer :)
