Ordered mine from RCM at 12:03am, They are shipping it out this afternoon. I phoned them at 11 am and the lady said it was over 70% sold. I expect it will be sold out very soon.

No one here is flipping or talking about flipping. If you don't like the coin, don't buy it.

@UFOcoin Let us face it. You came on board here when the UFO Falcon Lake coin was released and went on an on about this coin. Trust me. Those prices for that coin will fall. The Falcon Coin got all the hype because, CTV, CBC and every other news station promoted the coin like crazy. Captain Canuck is a Canadian Icon. I did not buy to flip. I got the signed one. It is a keeper. We all have different tastes and there is no reason for you to rain on anyone's parade here. If you don't like the coin, go to the UFO Falcon Coin forum because you were all over it! SHEESH! AND, it is "theirs" not "theres".

Quote: No body has heard of him I guess 'my name is nobody' (also the title of one of my favorite Westerns). I am a US citizen and had heard of him. And no, I am not a comic book collector, and I have no real ties to the whole super hero world except I read a lot of comics as a kid.

Quote: To anybody hoping to make a quick buck off this joke, you just got fleeced by the Mint as a missed out of the UFO Coin frenzy remorse bitterness effect! Nothing wrong with it. Several years ago, when RCM and specially Perth were 'hot' we did it release after release, missing some and catching on others. Lucky, sellers like Mario and Coins-4-Fun help collectors here (you can see it in advance and buy if missed)

Ya sure, MWario is such a saint, helping collectors. By driving up prices. Look at the UFO coins sold on ebay auctions and see his feedback number all over them. He even won a few as he was driving the price upward. But funny enough his only feedback so far for a UFO coin has been from the highest priced sale. Such a saint that MWario!

Quote:UFO coin was not a sleeper hit. All the Canadian news stations picked this story up and was televised and written about, along with a video of the coin. If they did the same with Captain Canuck, then I guess, it would fall into your "sleeper hit" category. Google all the stories on the RCM's Falcon coin and you will see:)) I call it a sleeper hit because no one on the coin forums was interested in the UFO coin until it suddenly sold out on public release day. Just about everyone dismissed it as a gimmick coin. You could have ordered as many coins as you wanted from the RCM if you were a Master Club member. And that included lower MC tiers. Note the first thread on the UFO coin appeared on April 5, the day after the coin sold out everywhere. No one talked about the coin until it sold out.

And nobody sold a UFO coin on ebay until April 5, smells like a MWario/Mint conspiracy!

You've got a bee in your bonnet with Mario95, eh? I've bought plenty from him and never had any problems. Fast and courteous. In fact, I bought my Captain Canuck Coin from him.

I'll bet that Steve Bromberg's enthusiasm for Captain Canuck will probably cause a sell out on TSC tomorrow.
