Attached is a 1984 D Washington that doesn't have a rim above the liberty and also no reeds along the outer rim on the entire coin. Is this wear/tear? Sorry but it's hard to convert the pics to and up and down view on cell phone.
hmmmm except I have a pretty much almost IDENTICAL 1984 D quarter with same issues. and YES, I DO live in Las Vegas but there us legit only ONE casino left in our town where you can use coins in a slot machine, been that way for years now
Plurgirl, please make your own thread. Chavez, it probably spent a lot of time in vending machines or a casino. Eventually over time, it will completely wear down the reeding.
But on a partial collar the reeds are not worn off, they are blank from being above/below the collar and that area would be wider. So the reeds would be present on a partial collar. (not missing/worn off)
