It could be 1926 D, but it's so worn and damaged to the point, that's it's impossible to tell. It's unfortunately worthless at this point, except for Copper melt value.

You could put it in your empty hole that says 1922 no 'D'. LOL

It may have been sanded down. Look at the rim and area where the date was. It may have been removed?
