Beautiful collection you assembled, old chap. But may I ask, is there a moment somewhere after your accomplishment when you feel a certain empty feeling and not having that goal set before you, and the thrill of the hunt and all that? I've never completed a set, and I some I think I want to give up on because I may lose my way and pay too much or buy something that really never ever satisfies my reckless spirit. What's your thoughts?

The 1885 is nice. There appears to be some doubling around the neck and face, as well as the top of the two "eights" on the date. Is it like that in real life? Or just the pictures? Did you purchase it cerfified?
I also like the 1883 no cents, and appears to have a nice rainbow tone.
Congratulations!

mfry, I know what you are saying. It comes over me when I get to the point that I know that I will never be able to get a couple of coins to finish a set. My Lincoln wheaties lack only the 09-S VDB and I know that I will never spend over a thousand dollars to get it. When I finally got the 14D my interest in the lincolns waned a lot and now the set just sits and I hardly ever look at it. THe same is true for the Mercury dimes. Whether I will ever spend the 4 to 5 hundred dollars to complete the Liberty Walkers, I just don't know. Lack only the 21D. I am currently working on a 19th century type set and lack about 7 affordable ones. I can see the end coming for that. I suppose the answer is to broaden ones interests and continue.

Great job! Congrats.
I'm been collecting for I think over 3 years now and I STILL haven't completed a set :o(
I'm 2 Wheats and about 20 Memorials away from completing the whole Lincoln set. I'm hoping to have it done by November.

Congrats and as Borat would say: 'Very nice!'
A beautiful set.
Just a comment - it looks odd to me - the opposite of my collections. I have lower grade examples (if any) for the key dates.
Personally, I set goals like 1897-1912D in EF and a bottom-of-the-barrel AG 1885. WAY cheaper too, leaving more money for other key dates. But to each his own.
