Very nice!

Perhaps I'm totally seeing things, but I couldn't help notice some details which reminded me of the 1812/11 overdate

The 1812 is "Overton 106". It is not the 1812/11 overdate variety. The diagnostics are the large die crack from N in United to the top of the eagles wing and on through to the other edge running from the top of the ribbon up along the top side of the A in America. If you look really close with a good magnifier, you will probably be able to see the entire die crack all along the coin. It's usually there, really faint across the center but look careful. This is an R3 coin, good find and nice coin. O-106 is the only variety with this reverse die

I mean, I'm no expert, but don't some of these look cleaned?

Take for example, the apparent 'gunk' in the protected areas in the first, the gunk in the shield and near the claws in the second, and just, judging by the photo, the third looks like the luster has been destroyed.

Nice die crack on the 1812, that's pretty big.

I agree, they probably have been cleaned. It really doesn't bother me that much or apparently affect graders of these type of coins. I'd venture to say that a LARGE precentage of all Bust Material has been cleaned at some point.

Check out this coin and let me know what you think. Click on the 1813 Capped Bust $.50 1813 50/UNI.
