*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***
I first I thought this could be a RPM because of the S mint-mark, but then I noticed that the 9 looks like it's shifted from ejection doubling. Is that unrelated and this is truly a RPM? Any comments would be appreciated.
I was wondering about the mark on the bottom of the 9. Did my own looking around. This mark can be found on dies from all three years, but not on all of them. I wondered if die state made a difference, I don't think so, but die polishing could remove it. But posting examples I found: So it maybe a master die issue, or a hub issue. More were found with the mark, but not all. Still digging. (what others wonder about, it bugs me to find out more)
