i got it from a coin shop today and I dont know what it is, but he said it's ancient

it's smaller than a penny maybe between a third of the size to a half of the size of a penny

Not that it is, and out of my league, but it reminds me of the Biblical, Holy Land and maybe Roman era coins.

It may be just a copy of a Judean Prutah. The specific weight and size is needed to determine the exact coin, this looks similar:

These are very commonly copied as tourist flap, commonly known as the "Widow's Mite" of the Bible and Jesus's time.
