Hey Guys,, I think I finally found something. The coin is worn but it sure looks like it matches what Wexler has posted. What do you think?

I'm certainly not an expert but I believe it's MD unfortunately. The B shows it best to me, very flat and shelf like, and it reduces the overall size of the B

I agree with Adam, it is not a DDO variety. Doubling is a MD and confined to the edges of the devices.

There are several varieties of the DDO of this date and they were from SMS, and I couldn't say if this was DDO or MD. Even if it was a DDO, it's not really collected, and doesn't bring too much of a premium even if it was high grade. If MD, no premium. Since this coin is circulated, odds are it is MD since it would have had to be broken out of a SMS if DDO.

That's Machine Doubling unfortunately, since the devices are reduced in size, and it's shelflike (flat) in appearance. http://www.error-ref.com/machine-doubling/

There are quite a few doubled working dies thay show this type of doubling from 1966, in and out of special mint sets. These dies have been traced back to working hubs.
From the OP's photos I agree with others that there seem to be elements of MDing though the chin in particular appears to have doubling from a doubled hub.

John Wexler pull a lot of these off his site as Master hub/die issues. So save it for now, until gets the site all updated. (Sometimes we have to wait for the better site coming. Be patient)

I thought maybe these would help. The green photos are Wexler's.

It's definitely Machine Doubling, since it's reduced in size, and it's shelflike (flat) in appearance.

There are 37 66 DDO listings in the CONECA Master Listings, 18 SMS's and 19 BS's http://varietyvista.com/Variety%20M...65-1966.htm). There is so much PMD on your half dollar it is hard to make an attribution, but using the CW spread on LIB of LIBERTY and comparing your photos to the BS's (yours is not a SMS it is a BS) in my collection the LIB doesn't match anything listed. There is only one BS listing with CW doubling on LIB, 66 BS DDO-031 and your doesn't match it. I agree with the previous post your half dollar is MDD.

If it were a DDO, then the other doubling would also be present:

If it is a doubled die, then all doubling should match.
