1963 Lincoln Memorial Reverse Die Break?

I think there might be a die break on the reverse.

There is also a gouge on the lower part of the steps and foreground. Also a couple other chips or breaks: one on the top part of the A and one lower near the rim.

It might be a stain. Are you sure that it's not something else?

it looks like a small lamination starting to peel off

To me it looks like a debris that was struck onto the coin. A lamination flows across the coin in a straight line.

Got some better pictures. First is with the coin standing up at a steep angle so you can see how it sticks up. It also shows crack running down along column. Another shows crack running up and onto column.

I would say that it's Struck Through Debris.

I was looking at the one on the rim. Both are the same thing.

Hi, TBR. You are not alone in that state of confusion. Include me in your group. I think confusion is part of the learning process until we can absorb how the experts look at coins. Just like what Coop said, we need to get used to it. The learning process does not apply overnight. So, be patient. The experts at CCF are very helpful & knowledgeable.
