1988 D Penny With Misaligned Mint Mark

Now I don't know if this is true or not and that's why I'm post this coin. I know the "D" is out of place compared to all the coins, but I would like to know what some of you here think on the matter. Thank you for the help in advance. Report this Post to the Staff

Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 74881 Posts	Posted 07/28/2018 6:36 pm Yes, that's correct. Mint marks were puched by hand into the die until 1990 for Business Strike coins. What you have here isn't an error. It's just a different mint mark location. The mint mark locations varied when it was punched in by hand. They wouldn't be the same everytime. Errers and Varietys.
