This 2000 P Roosevelt dime appears to have a die chip directly beneath Roosevelt's bust. The position is interesting and resembles a collar. Ever seen this before? Is it a die chip?

Congrats decade on both finding it and identifying it.
Your efforts are starting to pay of.
It is indeed a large die chip.

(Not sure which emoji to use here, so I guuess I'll be nice...)

Is that the real reason you search for error coins? No, honestly, really? I'd like to know. If it's because you read the latest Cheezypacker's guide and have $$$ in front of your eyes, here's your reality check. This is considered a "wastebasket" error. Now just what picture does a wastebasket paint in your mind? Same here, nada, zip, and zilch, a big fat zero in real world wealth. A die chip is nothing more than a common metal machining result of die presses. Now true, there are some novice collectors who think these are the Cat's Meow (where is Meow anyway?) and will pay a few bucks for one. Most seasoned error collectors may keep some very dramatic ones, those sell, a small one will not.
